A Guide to Male Skin Care

Let’s face it, whether many of you men out there know it or not male skin care is vitally important. Too many of you simply put too little emphasis on the health of your skin, and your skin inevitably suffers for it. Has it ever crossed your mind that the fact that your skin is often inflamed, irritated, itchy, and dry may be directly related to the lack of care that you have been giving it?

While most men put thoughts of better skin care on the back burners of their minds, they should really be made aware that a man’s skin actually needs far more care than that of a woman. That may come as a surprise to most men, because if you walk down the aisles of any of the cosmetics departments it does seem as though everything is marketed towards women.

Male skin care products tend to get bunched up into one small area of these stores, while skin care products for women dominate the shelves. The sad truth is that unbeknownst to virtually every man that shop’s his little section of the store that the products that the cosmetics companies design for him are really no different at all from the formulas that they design for women.

These products contain the almost the identical ingredients as those that can be found in products that are formulated for the needs of women’s skin. The only real difference in these products is the chemicals that they use in order to produce scent, and of course the packaging. Both the scent and the packaging have been designed in order to give the impression of masculinity.

These products that the major cosmetics manufacturers are producing are no good for male skin care, and in truth they aren’t good for women to use either. The typical cosmetic product that you will find is filled with chemical agents that are capable of causing serious harm to your health. These ingredients are not what you need if you are going to be successful in making your skin healthy.

Your products should contain all natural ingredients in them, because these are the ones that will do your skin the most good. Men need specific ingredients if they are going to nurse their skin back to health due to the daily abuse that they have put it through for years. What you need are plant based ingredients that will offer you all of the antioxidant power that your skin needs to regain its health.

Male skin care should contain three specific ingredients that will reverse the damage that the daily shaving ritual that they go through has done. Capuacu butter, Witch Hazel, and Babassu palm oil are what are necessary if you want to relieve the burning, itching, and redness that a man’s skin typically suffers. You will not find these ingredients in the typical products designed for men.

In conclusion, male skin care is exclusive to men, as they have their own set of unique needs. Getting your hands on the right set of products will make all of the difference in the way that your skin looks, and feels. All natural is the way to go.

Great post! this is so true. I have worked landscape construction and masonry most of my life and never paid any attention to my skin, until my Mother who started making her own soaps introduced to me goats milk soap products and lotions. I was never much of a lotion user but since I have been using the lotion and natural soaps my skin has improved tremendously, especially the shaving soap that I use that has the some of the ingredients I believe you mentioned in this post. No more razor burns!
